Hey, this is Shannon, and I want to officially welcome you!

Over the past decade, I have been developing the Dream Sports Group.  What started out as just a one man operation in one state, is now the fastest growing sports marketing and recruiting service in the country. We have over 150 Regional Scouting Directors in 41 states!

As a guidance counselor and head football coach at a high school, I saw the need for a program that could assist student-athletes in their recruiting journeys. I began this program as a school wide counseling initiative. I created an online education program for parents and athletes to log in and review. I set up another program that would send actions steps to families for recruiting coordination. The next step was to supply information to college programs.

BOOM…I saw our college correspondence, visits and scholarships increase exponentially. I spoke with other counselors and coaches across the region and I quickly found that it wasn’t a school wide issue, instead every school had similar barriers.

I decided to take a leap of faith. I spent over $70,000 on websites, training and software systems. It has all paid off. It took years to create a program, but finally I was able to get out of the everyday 9-5 rut and into a career I was passionate about. No longer did I have to wake up at 5am, drive into the office, sit behind my desk and listen to a boss shout out orders. No longer was I micromanaged every second of the day. No longer was I told when I could take a break and eat lunch. And finally...No longer was I in a job that capped my earning potential.

I now create my own schedule. I work with student-athletes and their families on a weekly basis, guiding them through the recruiting process. I go to games, tournaments and showcases and watch athletes compete. I also get to spend time with coaches and personal trainers and talk sports all day. I wake up with passion and purpose.
